Welcome from Evening Classes Co-Chairs
Dear USN Evening Class Participants and Students,
University School of Nashville (USN) parent volunteers are already busy working to make the 2010 Evening Classes (EC) program as tempting, educational and fun as in years past. As we move forward, we wanted to take a moment to thank you once again for your past participation in this important community and USN program.
Since its inception 17 years ago, the EC program has raised money to fund many need-based tuition scholarships at USN. Thanks to the enthusiastic support of people like you, USN has been fortunate to raise thousands of dollars for deserving students.
As always, we appreciate your comments in our effort to uphold the high standards and values we strive for each year at USN Evening Classes.
EC offers on-line registration, payment confirmation, and related electronic communications, and you can expect periodic emails from us about the program. Please remember that at any time you may login to www.eveningclasses.org (with the account you created in previous years) to review your past class registrations. If you have not joined us before and want to get emails, please use "Join our Email List" link on the left side.
Looking forward to seeing you this year,
Kathy Pennington and Wendy Baker

Welcome to Evening Classes 2010
from Director Vince Durnan
-------------------------------
Greetings avid readers and active learners,
Welcome to another season of Evening Classes at University school. Now in our 17th year, we’re honored to offer a range of courses likely to draw interest from the breadth of our metropolitan area. The teachers whose volunteer efforts create this menu of choices enjoy the students as much as the topic at hand. Your presence in the classroom, or the kitchen, or the gallery, or in any number of locations across town brings the courses to life. Engaged students and dedicated teachers are a big favorite at USN. Thanks for joining in.
Our umbrella association of families, the University School of Nashville Association (USNA), provides the volunteers who attend to every detail of this signature program. The dedication of that talented group provides the means, though the modest course fees we collect, for funding need-based K-12 scholarships. With 2000+ evening signups, even in these cost-conscious times, the results can be life-changing for our students. Please join me in gratitude to USNA for opening these doors, and thank you for getting the word out about our website, supplementing the paper catalogs we’ve limited for environmental reasons. Sign up early and attend often, and enjoy our community.
Proud to be a neighbor,

Vincent W. Durnan University School of Nashville
